Chatsworth's newly installed landscape interpretation centre, the Game Larder, is now open.
Originally constructed in 1909 to hang the game shot on the estate, the Game Larder is the octagonal building adjacent to the car park.
Thanks to Chatsworth's successful application to the Heritage Lottery Fund, they have been able to design and install information panels and interactive elements to provide interpretation of their wonderful landscape.Whether visiting the house or passing on a walk, we hope you enjoy the opportunity to learn more about the estate.
The House and formal Gardens at Chatsworth reopen on the 25th March 2017 but in the meantime, you are welcomed to explore the park (which includes the Capability Brown landscape), there are talks and walks, and the farmyard is open 11th-26th February for half term. The Game Larder is free to enter all year round and offers a great opportunity to learn more about the estate.
